You should be aware of the following procedures should there be an emergency situation, weather related or otherwise, that would entail the closing of school.

The pastor and principal can make their own decision based on local needs.  An automated phone call and/or email will be activated informing the members of the faculty and staff. 

The School has implemented an automated phone/email messaging service - ONE CALL NOW - to alert families/guardians of any emergencies or school closings.  You will receive a phone call in the event that school will be closed via phone and/or an email.  The call will also be placed on our website if you have missed the notification.  It will be located on our home page. Look for the ONE CALL NOW link.

St. Sebastian is registered with the Emergency School Closing List on Channel 2 WCBS and Channel 11 WPIX Morning News programs.  School closings will flash on the bottom of the television screen.  You can also access the information on their website at www.wcbstv.com.

Please note that if New York City Public Schools are closed all Catholic elementary schools within the Diocese of Brooklyn will also be closed.
